You Know You’re In Texas When…

The sunset is visible every evening…
…the Christmas tree farm looks suspiciously like a big box store…
…and your next door neighbor brings you a gift just hours after you’ve moved in!
We’re here, and we’re somewhat settled. So nice to wake up slowly this morning, read my Bible, journal, and have an Advent devotion with the kids ~ things that haven’t been happening in the last crazy week or two!  Robert and I are also looking forward to a three night getaway starting Thursday.  Looking forward to time together, a little silence, and probably some Christmas shopping, which I’ve not even begun. Now I’m off to take Cooper to his first basketball practice.  I’ll post again soon with some other adventures from our 2000 mile journey which include Legos, Bill Clinton, old friends, very friendly strangers, and teenage drivers!
P.S.  To be fair, our next door neighbor is also our realtor for our sabbatical rent home, but I’m telling you ~ the FRIENDLINESS abounds around here.  Actually, it began abounding somewhere between Maryland and West Virginia, and kept getting more excessive through Kentucky and Tennessee.  Wow.
